Class DatePickerComponent

extends androidx.constraintlayout.widget.ConstraintLayout
    Component for selecting a date.

    The following options are configurable:

    • app:date_picker_selected_date_format : String allowing the format of the date that will be displayed in the component after the user has selected a date. If not set the default format is dd MMMM yyyy
    • app:date_picker_spinner_theme : Reference style for the style of the spinner. The spinner in this case is the rotating selector that will allow the user to select a value. If none is set it will default to R.style.Yoti_v3_DatePickerSpinner
    • app:date_picker_label : String that will be the place holder in the component before a date has been selected.
    • app:date_picker_error : String that will be the error text hint. This will show up underneath the component when the setAsInvalid() method is called.
    • app:date_picker_hint : String that will be the hint text. This hint text will show up underneath the component when the component is in the neutral state.
    • app:date_picker_icon : Drawable of the icon that will display in the component on the right. The default is R.drawable.date_charcoal
    • app:date_picker_dialog_date_pattern : String that will be used as the date pattern for the spinners on the date dialog picker. This will be used to order the spinners.

    Consumers of this component must register the DatePickerComponent.DatePickerListener using the setDatePickerListener(DatePickerListener) method to be notified when a user has selected a date. The DatePickerComponent.DatePickerListener.onDateSelected(DateParts) will be the method that is invoked.

    To set the default date that is displayed in the date picker dialog the consumer can call the setDefaultDate(Calendar) or setDefaultDate(DateParts) method.

    To set the minimum date that the user is allowed to select the consumer can call the setMinDate(Calendar) or setMinDate(DateParts) method.

    To set the maximum date that the user is allowed to select the consumer can call the setMaxDate(Calendar) or setMaxDate(DateParts) method.

    The consumer MUST invoke the setParent(ViewGroup). This allows the date picker dialog to know who the parent is. If this is not set then an exception will be thrown when the user has tapped on the component.

    To set the title that is displayed at the top of the date picker dialog then consumer can call the setTitle(String) method.

    To set the theme of the spinner the consumer can call setSpinnerTheme(int). The spinner in this case is the rotating selector that will allow the user to select a value.

    To set the component to be in the valid state the consumer can call setAsValid().

    To set the component to be in the invalid state the consumer can call setAsInvalid().

    To set the component to be in a neutral state the consumer can call setAsNeutral().

    To set the component to be in the empty invalid state the consumer can call setAsEmptyInvalid().

    To set the component as in focus the consumer can call setAsInFocus().

    To set the order of the spinners in the date picker dialog the consumer can call setDialogPickerDatePattern(String). Setting this to null will force the dialog to use the locale of the user.

    To clear the component the consumer can call clear().
